You have been invited to be a flag bearer in our Gala Concert on September 19. You will be carrying a flag that represents some part of the world where Suzuki method is taught. You will need to learn a routine that will be performed during our grand finale, “Thank You Dr. Suzuki”.
You should also learn to sing the song so that you can sing
along. Your teacher will send you the
words and the music so that you can practice at home.
We would also like you to learn a ribbon routine for our
opening number, “Where Love is Deep”. This
is another song that you will need to learn to sing. There is also sign language that you should
learn and practice at home. You teacher
will send you the words and a video that you can practice with.
There will be two rehearsals for the flag bearers. You will need to attend both of them.
Saturday September 12 from 12:00 to 1:30. The first part of this rehearsal will be
learning the routine and the second part will be practicing with the other
instruments.
Saturday September 19 from 3:30 to 5:30. The first part will be rehearsing the routine
with just the flag bearers. The second
part will be practicing with the other instruments.
On September 12, you can park under the Conference Center,
but on September 19 you should park in the spot designated on the parking pass that you will receive with your family’s
tickets.
On Saturday, September 19, there will be a dinner break at
5:30, right after the rehearsal. You
should bring your own dinner because there won’t be time to go to a
restaurant. You should be in your performance
spot by 6:45. You will want to come
dressed in your concert clothes. Concert
Dress for the Gala is white shirts or blouses and black pants or skirts with
black socks or tights and black shoes.
I can’t wait to see you at the Gala.
Hugs!
Linda Garner
