Bow Chord

Students should enter and exit the piano on the treble clef side.  They should practice walking on and off stage in the appropriate order.  They should be encouraged to walk quickly to their places.  They will bow before playing and after playing.

There will be a short narration as the students walk on, and a longer narration as the students are being seated.

The coach will play the bow chord in the appropriate key.  If it is in a minor key they will play the chord in the associated major key.  Students should practice bowing with the bow chord.  They should begin the bow when they first hear the chord and stay down until the chord is released.  Have fun with this.  Make a game out of it.

The bow chord should have only an octave in the LH and four notes in the right hand, the root chord plus one.
