Chaperone Letter

Dear Chaperone,

Thank you for agreeing to be a chaperone for your child’s group.  This is a valuable service and will help us keep things running smoothly.  Here is a summary of your duties.

  1. Help the children to be quiet and attentive listeners.
  2. Help them get to the outside aisle at the appropriate time for their performance/rehearsal.  They should be lined up two numbers before their turn.  They should sit in order so that they don’t have to adjust their order when they stand up and move to the aisle.  They should stand up and move only during applause.
  3. Take care of small emergencies like bathroom trips, or wardrobe issues.

You will need to be seated with your group at the dress rehearsal and at the concert.

We also need volunteers for the Gala.  We have day jobs and evening jobs.  If you are able to volunteer for the Gala, please give your name to DaLane.

Please arrive at the dress rehearsal at 6:00.  (That means inside the hall)   When you have your child in line to be measured, look for Dalane Miller who will be on the front row.  She will give you any last minute instructions.  Then you should find your assigned seats and greet the students who will also be looking for their seats.

You might want to bring a few safety pins, bandaids, cough drops, and an extra smile.

Hugs!

Linda Garner
